Dawnelle's philosophy of fitness and yoga is an approach to living the best life possible. Yoga isn't just about stretching the body - it's about stretching the mind as well, and building a strong connection between mind, body, and heart. Dawnelle believes that proper alignment varies from body to body, and that yoga is about constantly pushing and exploring the boundaries of what is possible for each individual in each moment. She has developed her own style of Qi Yoga, an alignment-based, heart-centered power flow practice that explores breath and movement, encourages the cultivation of patience, balances strength and flexibility, and opens the mind to infinite possibilities of the body through moving meditation. Dawnelle has been studying and teaching the body for 20+ years, and is always looking for new ways to enhance the lives of the students who cross her path. She firmly believes that yoga can heal every body, and we need to continuously be questioning, exploring, learning, and deepening our understanding of what is possible and true for the mind and the body. Qi Yoga is a balance between fire and water, between understanding the alignment and knowing how to apply it to your own body, between a strong foundation and the ability to rise and open up out of it. Her classes are designed to challenge your whole being, to push the edge of what is possible, and to empower you to walk out the door bigger and greater than you were when you walked in.
