Wanderlust for Kids
This year, Wanderlust coincides with the 4th of July, inspiring us to add even more to the celebration – the celebration of our families, our kids, and our country!
For a Wanderlust-spin on the traditional 4th of July parade, we are doing a parade on Saturday July 6th starting at 10am. Kids will use recycled materials, including newspaper, egg cartons, and water based paints, to decorate their personal bike, skateboard or roller skates for the Primp My Ride Kid Powered Parade. After the decorating party, at 11am participants will ride their newly decorated 'vehicles' in a parade throughout the Village led by the Copper Fire Department. (This activity is free and fun for the family! Drop-ins encouraged but no unsupervised children please.)
But that's not all! All day on Saturday, July 6 we host a free family festival-within-a-festival from 11am-4pm that will include juggling and hula hoop-making workshops, a solar bubble tower, stilt workshops, Cosmis Fire Poi Spinning, a Giant Mural, Hula Hope Making and Face Painting. From 2pm-3pm there will be Hoop and Poi workshops with the Hoola Monsters. (Again, we encourage dropping in but kindly request that fun-loving adults remain with our smaller delight-seekers!)
Even better, all of Copper Mountains's regular summer activities (like Mini-Golf, Go Karts, the Climbing Wall and Alpine Rush Zip Line, Bumper & Paddle Boast and the Bungy Jump) are 20% off if you show your Wanderlust credential (as part of a Wanderlust group rate).
All the amazing above activities will be capped with a brilliant theatrical pyrotechnic show with colored smoke, sparkling effects and loud bombs, featuring town crier & street performers, which will announce the start of the main stage show!
