Growing up in Colorado, being outdoors and physically active was always a priority to Sara. She began her yoga journey in a small community college classroom along with her mother and father at the age of seven. At the time, Sara found great joy in attempting to create pretzel shapes with her limbs- little did she know that this practice would transform her life and career one day.
Embracing various sports at a young age, Sara identified strongly with running, hiking, lacrosse and skiing - all of which are still present in life. After finishing college and earning and All American title in lacrosse, Sara struggled with how to stay physically challenged. When she turned passionately to yoga in 2000, Sara noticed immediately that the practice of yoga had made her a stronger athlete physically and mentally. In her effort to share yoga with everyone around her, Sara takes care to lead a yoga practice that is accessible to devotees of all levels, regardless of the reason that brings them to their mat each day.
Sara completed the CorePower Yoga Power Teacher Training in 2008 and Hot Yoga Teacher Training in 2009. She completed Level 2 Power Teacher Training in the winter of 2009. Sara lives with her husband, Will, and their dog Brooker in Denver.
